Editorial Policy & Corrections

ComCalend exists to make historical commodity seasonality research easier to inspect, question, and use responsibly. This policy explains who is accountable for the published work, how articles are prepared, and what readers can expect from sources, corrections, and advertising.

Editorial accountability

Michael Walmer is the editor and publisher responsible for ComCalend’s published research standards and corrections process. Articles identify their author, publication date, subject area, and source context so readers can evaluate the work in context.

ComCalend is an independent educational publication. It does not provide individualized investment, trading, legal, or tax advice.

How research is prepared

  • • Each calendar signal is an original synthesis of historical seasonal research and an identified physical or demand-side driver.
  • • Signals are cross-checked against the sources listed for the relevant commodity category before publication or annual review.
  • • Seasonality is presented as a historical tendency, not a forecast, recommendation, or substitute for current market research.

We favor primary government datasets, exchanges, academic work, primary disclosures, and sources with reproducible methodology when they are available. Supporting sources are named alongside the relevant commodity or article. A source’s inclusion does not convert a historical tendency into a forecast.

Corrections and updates

Readers may report a possible error, outdated source, or methodological concern through the Contact page or by emailing hello@comcalend.com.

A useful correction request identifies the page URL, commodity, applicable month or data point, and the supporting source. Credible evidence is reviewed; when a correction materially changes an explanation, the published record is updated and the article’s modified date is refreshed.

Independence, conflicts, and advertising

ComCalend’s research conclusions are not sold as individualized recommendations. References to WalmerFund.com describe a faith-rooted, long-view stewardship philosophy only; they are not used as commodity-market data, investment advice, sponsorship, endorsement, or an affiliation claim.

Advertising, if displayed, is secondary to published research. Our placement standard is: One clearly labeled responsive unit after a complete long-form article body. Advertisements are excluded from the homepage, research index, contact, methodology, privacy, terms, author, editorial-policy, and error pages.

Any advertising or affiliate relationship is disclosed where it appears. Advertisers do not control the site’s methodology, source choices, corrections, or editorial conclusions.

Reader responsibility

Seasonal patterns are historical tendencies. Policy, weather, supply disruptions, liquidity, and current fundamentals can override a past pattern. Use the calendar as a starting point for independent research, not as a trade instruction or substitute for qualified advice.
